Sister Church in Beit Jala

Dear friends,
Greetings from Beit Jala.

During the past period we had many occasions in the parish that prevents us from writing to you about the parish.
After we finished the holy week, we had to prepare for the confirmation, 35 children had this secret of Holy Spirit. The patriarchates Micheal Sabah lead the Mass, it will be his last Mass as a patriarchate in our parish, and he will be retired on 22 June 2008. It was a great Mass and celebration. After the mass he blessed beatific the new housing project for 32 need families in the parish.
We began the renovation works in the parish, like cleaning the front face of the church. This project is offering work for many needy families.
A new sound system was installed in the church which was donated to the church. Also we helped 12 students in paying their tuition fees, as long as for some needy families and sick people.

We need your prayers especially for the Holy Spirit demonstration which will be on 9 May. We also prepare for other occasions in the parish as camps for the children, youth and scouts.
We hope all is doing fine there, we didn’t hear new news from you.
